Residence in Limassol
Residence in Limassol VI is a private house designed as a nearly zero energy building. The house opens to the south and to the view, and it uses the local environmental conditions to achieve thermal comfort. A white Z-shaped form provides sun protection and joins the covered parking space with the main volume. Large windows bring in daylight and link the interior with the surroundings. The layout separates communal and private areas and protects privacy from the street. Reinforced concrete forms the structure, and the whole building is thermally insulated.
Residence in Limassol Private House by Vassiliades Architects has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Residence in Limassol Private House won the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2024. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates exceptional design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
