The Wine Hub
The Wine Hub is a village building that combines a residence and a restaurant. The design aims to create a gathering place and to renew interaction among neighbours. Horizontal fins, inspired by traditional wine rack storage, shape the facade. The fins come in six different sizes, creating varied density that filters wind and sunlight and gives each interior function a different level of privacy. Glass panels on the ground floor can be opened, so the boundary between inside and outside is softened and the surrounding nature is brought into the interior.
The Wine Hub Residence and Restaurant by Nikki, LK Ho has been featured as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Wine Hub Residence and Restaurant received the Iron A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2023. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which rewards excellent design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
