Doe O-Mega Urban Complex
Doe O-Mega Urban Complex is a mixed-use building designed for a site in Bonifacio Global City in Manila. The elliptical, three-dimensional O-shaped form covers 400,000 square meters and contains offices, residences, a hotel, shops, and meeting spaces. The atrium stays shaded for most of the day, creating a comfortable outdoor space, while a wind tunnel guides natural air to cool the atrium and the lobby. Light-colored concrete, aluminum panels, and glass reduce heat absorption. Photovoltaic glass railings collect solar energy, and the podium roof holds a public garden.
Doe O-Mega Urban Complex Building by Peng Architects Inc. has been selected as a grand representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Doe O-Mega Urban Complex Building won the Bronze A' Design Award in Architecture, Building and Structure Design in 2022. The A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade which rewards outstanding design of skyscrapers, museums, residential buildings, commercial complexes, educational institutions, religious structures, infrastructure designs, landscaping projects and more.
