We redesigned and reorganized the building and the spatial streamline. Through a combination between virtually and reality, a spatial transformation is carried out, which enables a free switch between “open” and “private” spaces, being one body from outdoor to indoor, facilitates the interaction between people and natural space, and meanwhile maintains a sense of privacy.
The most difficult part of the design work is to make a strong visual impact in a limited space, and meanwhile not exerting excessive pressure on the city and streets. Therefore, the designer put more contents on the second floor, and built it into a structure of cantilever. Thus, more spaces are released; a feeling of floating and a sense of art are created. While solving the space and function problem, the designer also ensures the inclusiveness and friendliness of the city and streets.
The original building is a 100-year-old Tianjin shipyard, respecting and paying tribute to the historical significance of the original building. The designer designed the project through the concept of a large ship driving on the sea, connecting the original showroom and the sales office which two separate buildings, through a corridor to form a complete building, and using the streamlined shape of the ship to design the building's outline, and with the design of the waterscape, the shape of thea large ship driving on the sea is formed.
In the Amazon, natural conditions are extreme and the proximity of the equatorial zone requires an architecture oriented towards thermal comfort and "passive" sustainability: adequate footprint, protective eaves, dimensioning and orientation of cross ventilation openings, as well as preservation of local ecological systems. To preserve the pre-existing Campinarana – a type of Amazon forest -, the main architectural strategy was to minimize footprint by reversing the classic housing typology: sleeping rooms are located on the ground floor and living spaces on the upper floor.
There is river landscape in front of the project and a municipal road on the side. Based on special condition of the project, the designer conduct space division and set an architectural wall: on the side facing the river, large area of glass curtain wall is made to open the view to natural landscape, while on the side facing the road is divided with solid wall to avoid noise. This make it possible for people to enjoy the river view from the interior area while avoiding the noise to enter the interior space. This form a complete space in which one can calm down and enjoy the view outside.
The house is extend green in both planar and stereoscopic, that create a good environment for both residents and the city. In the sunny Asian region, Breeze Soleil using this green is a very effective way of thinking. Not only the function of the sunshade in the summer but also protection of privacy, avoidance from the street noise and cooling effect by automatic irrigation can be obtained.
