The Sea Vibes

This installation was designed using the language of the sea: waves, as it was designed for a residential project along the shore of Dalian Bay, China. The installation is a huge cylinder formed by double-layer copper plates, consisting of 6000 plates hung in the frame according to specific permutation. When walk around the cylinder, this installation looks like waves running one after another. When the plates move in the sea wind, flashing light and colors are reflected, symbolizing spindrift. This design reprodued the vibes of the sea waves with a fixed installation.

Bridge

There is a window on the entire surface of the road, and the living space which floated up in the air is impressive. In order to prevent the passersby and the resident 's line of sight from intersecting, he moves the living space upwards, giving a floating feel like a bridge. The function of the upper and lower streamlines which is the characteristic of the bridge and the direction of the gaze are applied to the design. Moreover, considering low carbonization and earthquake resistance, excellent design of tree structure was established.

Inclayer

This residence features a high ceiling space and ensures the brightness of the main room even in a narrow area of the city. It can be used as a proposal of a prototype that made it possible to arrange a living environment by volume design of space. We also evaluate the realization as a zero energy house while securing earthquake resistance with a tree structure even in a large space.

Kuliang Hill

Kuliang Hill project adopts the concept of minimalism and pursues to merge into nature. It follows shapes of natural mountainous and blends in perfectly with the mountain. Travertine that resembles mountain rocks is specially selected; combined with champagne color aluminum plates and glass curtain wall, the building looks as if it is floating between two rocks. The facade details and the "water-mirror" at the entrance together presents a fairy space deep in the mountains while night falls.

The Cube

To create a quality living experience and redefine the image of a residential building in Kuwait while maintaining the climate requirements and privacy needs dictated by the Arab culture, were the main challenges facing the designer. The Cube House is a four story concrete/steel structure building based on addition and subtraction within a cube creating a dynamic experience between internal and external spaces to enjoy natural light and landscape view all throughout the year.

Loong Palace Walking in the Moonlight

Horizontally there are two layers of enclosure to add on the spatial experience of the resident while creating more daily interactions with the building. The C-shaped layout enclosing the central courtyard, which is the core of family life. The building itself is also surrounded by the courtyards enclosed by the wall, forming three yards in the front, in the back and on the side respectively. The overall layout isolates the residence from the environment and ensures circulation and connection.
